K2 - the church I attend, hosted a compassion dinner for
the homeless women of currently staying at The Road Home. This was the prefect way to spend Valentine's Day this year! I was privileged enough to snap a few photos for the event!
I must say, that growing up in a rural part of Colorado, rarely prepares you for this type of experience. Homelessness was often not something I saw regularly as a child and young adult. But recently, I have found myself more and more
drawn to enlightening others and myself about this disparity in our society.
Which is why this was such a great experience for me - I found that by the end of the night I could not tell the difference between the women with homes and the women without and I found that so enlightening and refreshing.
It was wonderful to see people who would never speak in daily life enjoying a meal, dancing and the pure idea of a day dedicated to love, together.
It was vital for me to see the human side of this story - I hope I can continue bringing that part of the story to life.
